A cooking blog…Me? Say it isn’t so…

Greetings Fellow Cooking Acolytes~

After a goodly amount of thought, seeking advice and kicking around ideas from various friends I have finally decided to jump into the world of blogging.  I kept asking myself does the world need yet another cooking blog?  Do I have enough  to say to fill a blog on a consistent basis?  Will spending time on a blog add to not only my life but to those who read my ramblings?

So what will you find here…hopefully relevant recipes, useful tips, opinions and off beat topics.  Will every post be confined to cooking or the process?  For the most part yes but pardon me if I stray at times from the general “cooking theme.”

For those of you who have been after me for MONTHS to do this I hope it ends up being what you thought it would be.  If there is something you would like to see featured by all means shoot me an email and I will take it under consideration.  I am hoping this blog will end up like our conversations in real life where we can have the back and forth we have become so comfortable with.

I would like to take a moment to thank a few people for keeping after me to do this…first to my girls~Julie L. who dubbed me “WikiJan”; Katheryn D. who almost weekly asked for this medium;  Beth B. who wanted “more access” to what knowledge I have gathered.  And finally to Matt L. who convinced me that yes this is a good idea that I don’t need to “take it to the grave.”

So sit down and strap on your seat belts my cooking Acolytes, ready or not here we go into the blog world.
